Michael Rossetti

Originally from southern California, Michael Rossetti's interest in film was sparked by a high school digital media class, which quickly earned him his first festival award at the 2002 San Diego BestFest Film Festival.

The next two years were spent working nights at a grocery store and attending community college until he left for Los Angeles where he further pursued filmmaking at California State University, Long Beach. Now living in New York, he attends New York University's graduate film program at Tisch School of the Arts, studying with such renowned filmmakers as Spike Lee and Mary Haron. In addition to writing and directing, Rossetti is an accomplished cinematographer.

To date, he has photographed more than thirty projects, ranging from short films and documentaries, to webisodes and the upcoming feature, "Watching TV with the Red Chinese" directed by Shimon Dotan.

His most recent festival win took place at the Connecticut Film Festival, winning the Audience Award with his short film "Structures".
